Highlighting the EU’s pivotal role in preventing a hard border during Brexit, Gildernew asserted her belief that Northern Ireland’s future should be within the European Union, aligned with a United Ireland. If elected, Gildernew outlined her priorities, focusing on supporting states dealing with challenges like the cost-of-living, regional development, climate change, and safeguarding the needs of Irish farmers in the upcoming Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) negotiations.
